ERIN MARY DIDYOUNG
Early Life & Background
She grew up in the small town of Blythewood, just outside Columbia, SC. The youngest of three with two older brothers, she embraced her tomboy side while still loving to look cute. She spent her childhood exploring the woods with her brothers and best friend/ next-door neighbor, Sam. They would play “follow the leader”, climb trees, and play “movies” in the pool. Multiple times a year, the family traveled to New York to visit relatives, where she developed a love for playing in the snow.
Education & Career Journey
In middle school, Erin joined the Cross Country and Track teams and continued running throughout high school. She still enjoys running the occasional 5k race. Erin has always had a passion for dance, from childhood through high school, and went on to minor in dance at Columbia College, where she graduated with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communication, a minor in leadership, and a concentration in writing and computer science.
Personal Growth & Hobbies
During college, she waited tables while also gaining experience at Clinique. After graduating, she moved to Charleston, SC to pursue a career in event production. Erin joined Seacoast Church, where her faith in Jesus became her foundation for everything, leading her to a community of friends and opportunities to serve. She discovered her love for festival production and working with nonprofits and municipalities. Her passion for helping others and making a positive impact, rooted in her faith, led her to start her own business Faithful Marketing and Events.
Path Leading to Meeting Him
Her brother’s enthusiasm for CrossFit, combined with her desire to manage the stress of work and life, led her to CrossFit Wando, where she met a handsome man with a striking leg sleeve, a deep love for his family, and a passion for serving others.
